Director's Message
I am delighted to share with you information about the academic programs in the School of Media Arts. The School of Media Arts offers pre-professional and professional education at the undergraduate level with Bachelor of Arts programs in Film & Television Studies (Aesthetics & Criticism), and Producing, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Production. The School also offers a Minor in Media Arts, a graduate education with a Master of Arts degree in Media Arts, as well as a Ph.D. minor housed in the Department of English.
We provide students with close interaction with our outstanding faculty and dedicated staff to ensure that they receive the very best education in media arts. We are looking for students who want to make a place in the world, have something important to say through the arts of media, and want to bring about change and better understanding of the world we live in. Faculty work closely supporting hands on experiences in production, strengthening professional growth in producing, and in building the knowledge base of the field so that students are well prepared for a career in the media arts. The School has a strong reputation for its dynamic Internship Program providing students with opportunities to gain field experience under the mentorship of a media professional.
Feel free to visit campus and investigate the many opportunities in undergraduate and graduate education.
I wish you well in your exploration of media arts programs, and if we can be of any assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Beverly Seckinger, Interim Director
