There are two basic steps you must take to ensure your transfer credit is utilized in your degree correctly.
1. You must submit transcripts to one of two locations based on your admissions status:
2. You must go through a School of Art Academic Advisor to see how the units are used in your degree program.
You must check with both offices to insure proper transfer articulation. Instate courses have already been evaluated by the University and can be checked easily in the Course Equivalency Guide on line (see important URL addresses). Students may also view hard copies of the guide in Student Services.
If you are a current student and planning to take courses at another institution we encourage you to check with the Registrar and your Academic Advisor to be sure the course of study you are planning fits properly into your degree program. You must receive a C or better in the courses you wish to transfer in order to receive U of A credit. GPA's from other institutions do not affect your U of A GPA.
Note: If you are has filing a Degree Check you must send your transcripts to the Graduation Services office, Music 115.
The following links can help you determine how transfer credit may fit into your educational plan. Always check with an academic advisor before you complete any course. New transfer students should make a long appointment with or contact an advisor as soon as they are admitted.
